DEEPER DRILLING RESUMES AT TARABALA
I hope that you’ve seen our latest news release announcing that we have commenced our follow-up drilling program on the Tarabala artisanal workings on our Sikasso Property in Southern Mali. We had hoped to initiate this deeper reverse circulation (RC) drilling early in the new year. However, it has taken us considerably longer than expected to find a drilling contractor with equipment powerful enough not only of handling the conditions in the area—the water table is higher than usual—but that could also reliably penetrate to our targeted depth of up to 200 m from surface.
Happily, we were able to reach an agreement with FTE drilling, a Canadian company with a Malian subsidiary. Originally, they were scheduled to reach the site by the third week of February, but they encountered further delays in completing another contract before they could mobilise for us.
While it has been frustrating to experience this delay of about 45 days, we are confident that we have secured the right team and the right drill rig to execute this important next phase of our exploration program at Tarabala.
This drilling should be completed in about a week. Madani Diallo and his team will be working diligently to prepare the samples and deliver them to the assay lab as quickly as possible. We remain confident that the results of this drilling will provide valuable answers as to the true grades and continuity of the Tarabala mineralized zone.
Once again, thank you for your support and we look forward to a successful year ahead.
Sincerely,
Larry Phillips
